Everett Satterfield

Everett Satterfield, age 77, of North Little Rock, passed away, January 20, 2017. He was born in Salem, Arkansas on August 1, 1939 to the late Isaac Monroe and Bertha Warren Satterfield. While attending the Arkansas School for the Blind he met his wife of 54 years and they married after graduation. He spent his career working for the Stand Program, a program by the National Federation of the Blind of Arkansas which helps visually impaired persons achieve independence through work. Everett ran concession stands in the US Post Office, Roach Paper Company, and North Point Ford. Everett was a member of Baring Cross Baptist Church in Sherwood. He is preceded in death by his parents and six siblings. Everett is survived by his wife, Wilma Fay; sons, Perry (Lana), of Calvert City, Kentucky, Darrin (Daisy), of North Little Rock, and Tracy, of Houston, Texas; nine grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; sister, Alice Cline; and brother, Louis Satterfield. Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m., Wednesday, January25, 2017 at Edgewood Memorial Park in North Little Rock under the direction of Roller-Owens Funeral Home, 5509 John F. Kennedy Blvd., North Little Rock (501-791-7400). Memorials in Everett's honor can be sent to Baring Cross Baptist Church, 7541 Warden Rd. Sherwood, Ark. 72120.
