Donald Wayne Norwood

DONALD WAYNE NORWOOD, 84, of Little Rock, died on Jan. 25, 2017. He was born Feb. 18, 1932 in Springfield, Ark. He was one of seven children. He graduated from high school in Knoble, Ark. Donald was a proud Army veteran and was stationed in Fort Hood, Texas. He also lived in Arkansas, Washington State, and Missouri. He loved football, basketball and especially his St. Louis Cardinals. He won numerous medals, competing in senior Olympics until he was in his 70's. Donald also enjoyed singing karaoke and dancing. He was preceded in death by his father, Claud Norwood and mother, Hazel; his older brother, George Norwood; sister, Gladys Wosham; and younger brother, Elmer Norwood. Donald is survived by his sister, Martha Garton of Merced, Calif.; brothers, Wendell Norwood of Bridgeport, Wash., and Edwin Norwood of Mt. Home, Ark.; he is also survived by Mabel Norwood, mother of his seven children: Kirby Norwood (Ann) of Little Rock, Ark., Ken Norwood (Zoe Ann) of Washington, Kip Norwood (Rosemary) of Morrilton, Ark., Karl Norwood of Jackson, Tenn.; Kelly Norwood (Brigitte) of Spokane, Wash.; Rachel Norwood of Little Rock, Kevin Norwood (Angela) of Ft.
