Cleo Catherine Schmitz of Bella Vista died Thursday June 15, 2017 at Circle of Life, Legacy Village in Bentonville. Ark. She was born May 18, 1923 in North Dakota to Clarence William and Louise (Fuller) Tram.
Cleo was employed at Beech Aircraft in Wichita, Kansas as an accountant. She was a life member of the degree of honor and a member of the Women's Club at St. Bernard Parish. She enjoyed playing bridge and met her second husband Harold Schmitz while playing bridge 24 years ago. She downsized after extensive traveling and enjoying their last 13 years at the Plaza Retirement Complex in Bella Vista.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Cy Jones, a grandson, Allen, and a son-in-law, Al. Survivors include her husband, Harold Schmitz; two daughters, Mary Kay Livsay of Fredericksburg, Va., Colleen Bezdek of Denver, Colo.; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
A Mass of the Resurrection will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday June 19, 2017 at St. Bernard Catholic Church, 1 St. Bernard Lane, Bella Vista, Ark. 72715. A rosary will proceed at 9 a.m. at the church. Father Barnabas Maria-susai will officiate. Burial will be in the Bella Vista Cemetery. Arrangements are by Bella Vista Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc.
