Billy Wood

Billy Dwayne Wood Sr., 77, of North Little Rock passed away Monday, June 26, 2017. He was born April 10, 1940 in Judsonia, Arkansas to Oble and Ollie Wood. He was an active duty United States Army Veteran, and served twenty four years in the Arkansas Army National Guard. He was employed by the Veterans Administration in Little Rock and North Little Rock. Billy was of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his parents; three siblings, Marjorie, Treva, and Vernon Wood; and one daughter, Julie Anne Wood Douglas. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Judy Summers Wood; daughters, Anna Wood Skinner (Randy) of Houston, Texas and Susan Wood Gaither of Jacksonville; son, Billy D. Wood Jr. (Donna) of Searcy; brother, Herman Wood (Denise), of Judsonia; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and a host of family and friends. A visitation will be held from 1 to 2 p.m., Saturday, July 1, 2017, followed by a funeral service at 2 p.m., at Smith – North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main Street.
