Harold Wayne Brewer of North Little Rock, Arkansa was born July 30, 1948. He entered Heaven's Gates July 30, 2018 on his 70th birthday. Harold was born and raised in North Little Rock, Arkansas, where he was Levy Legend. His entire life he never ventured too far away from the home where he was raised, with the exception of two tours of duty in Vietnam. After graduating from North Little Rock High School in 1966, he served in the United States Navy CBs 1967-1971. Harold retired after more 30 years with AP&L, later Entergy, in 2003. He was a big burly tough man that was best not provoked. But on the inside he had a tender heart that was kind, compassionate, generous, and loyal. Harold could be counted on when a favor was needed; always ready to help someone move or hang an extra night watcher he had lying around. Known for his quick wit, sense of humor, and storytelling, he enjoyed visiting with friends over a cup of coffee on the back porch the last several years. Some of his passions over the years included softball, Old Charter, motorcycles, and fishing. But his greatest passion was me, his only son Robert Brewer. He loved with me all he had and never once let me down. Thank you dad for loving me so well. Harold was preceded in death by his parents, Alton & Gladys Brewer, brother, Don Brewer, sister, Jane Zeybel, nephews, Stephen Dorsey & Stuart Dorsey. Survived by his son, Robert Brewer (Sara) formerly of North Little Rock, now Monroe, La., sister, Bernadine Dorsey of Sheridan, Ark., nieces, Sharon Skorcz & Susan Spears of Sheridan, Donna McMinn of Ala., and Brenda Brewer & Karen Zeybel of North Little Rock. Also survived by grandkids Will, Foster, & Lindsay Jones of Monroe, La. and great twin grandsons, Ward and Wren Jones. He lives behind his trusty companion, a black lab named Shadow, and many friends & family that will sorely miss him. Services will be held Thursday August 2, 2018 at Memorial Garden Funeral Home in Sheridan, Ark. Visitation 2 p.m., Celebration of Life, 2:30 p.m., graveside to follow at Jones Palestine Cemetery. Pallbearers are Wayne York, Larry Bishop, Phillip Woods, Gary Lamb, Billy Joe Brown, James Gann, and honorary pallbearers Mike Eden, Tommy Quick, Scott Nichols, Ronnie Grice, Paul Denton, & Melvyn Glazebrook. In lieu of flowers or memorials, Harold would prefer you do something more meaningful, take a kid fishing. Arrangements by Memorial Gardens Funeral Home of Sheridan (870)942-1306. www.memorialgardenssheridan.com.
