Leoda L. Nelson

Leoda L. Nelson, age 93, Little Rock, passed away July 29, 2018. Born September 11, 1924, Leoda was preceded in death by her parents, William H. and Cora Smith; husband, James E Nelson; son, Jimmy Lee Nelson; and four brothers. She is survived by her daughter, Betty Gamer (Lewis) of' Little Rock; grandsons, James Hamilton of Maurnelle and Chad Nelson, Yucaipa, California; granddaughter, Shawn Christianson, Yucaipa; three great-grandsons; and one great-great-grandson. Leoda was a member of Markham Street Baptist Church and a retired employee of UALR. Visitation begins 10 a.m., Thursday, August 2, with service to follow at 11 a.m., Griffin Leggett Healey & Roth, 5800 W. 12th, Little Rock. Burial will follow at Forest Hills, 10200 Highway 5 N, Alexander, Arkansas.
