Shirley Fae (Daniels) Lasater, 70 of Wayton, Arkansas went to her heavenly home on Friday, August 3, 2018 in Fayetteville, Arkansas. The daughter of Henry and Irene (Murray) Daniels was born August 7, 1947 in Wayton, Arkansas. She graduated from Wyandotte High School in 1965 in Kansas City, Kansas. She married the love of her life, Paul Lasater, on November 6, 1965. Shirley and Paul lived in Kansas City, Kansas until 1976 when they moved to Wayton, Arkansas where she lived the rest of her life. Shirley was a beloved member of her community and worked as the Deer High School secretary for over 20 years. She was the last charter member of Wayton Free Will Baptist Church. An advocate for taking care of others, she never met a stranger, and always had a smile on her face that made everyone feel at ease. She was known for caring for sick family and friends by taking them her homemade soups and a care packages. When you looked at Shirley, you saw Christ. Her relationship with God came first in her life, and her faithfulness shined through everything she said and did. She was someone who lifted others higher, which made her life full of riches. She was a woman who was thankful of everything and everyone, and it filled her with joy and purpose, which allowed her own light to shine brightly. She lived in every moment! She loved God, she loved her family and once a person became a friend, they became her family. Everyone who knew her fell in love with her smile, her loving heart, and her contagious laughter. Shirley was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Burlin and Dorlin Daniels; and sister, Bonnie Penegar. Shirley is survived by her loving husband, Paul Lasater; daughter, Vickey (Joey) Shelton; sons, Doug (Kina) Lasater, and Kyle (Kelsy) Lasater; brothers Harlin (Charlotte) Daniels, and Donnie (Linda) Daniels; grandchildren, Riley (Holley) Shelton, Kris (Christy) Shelton, Mason and Maddison Lasater, Darcy, Kadence and Remington Lasater; great-grandchildren, Westyn and Reagan Shelton, Dason Hensley and Kaylee Shelton, and many nephews, nieces, cousins, and close friends. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that friends and family please extend an act of kindness to a neighbor, friend or stranger in honor of Shirley Fae Lasater. We would love to see her legacy of helping others carry on to honor her kind and generous heart. Visitation will Friday, August 10, 2018 from 6-8 p.m. at Coffman Funeral Home in Jasper, Arkansas.
