Jordan Daniel (Danny) Watson

Jordan Daniel (Danny) Watson, age 68, passed away Sunday, August 12, 2018 at Conway Regional Medical Center, Conway, Ark., after a long and courageous battle with cancer. He was born March 21, 1950 at Howard Memorial Hospital in Murfreesboro, Ark., to the late John Rollin Watson and Molly Marie Hale Watson of Delight, Ark. He attended Delight Public Schools having graduated from Delight High School in 1968. He attended Southern Arkansas University in Magnolia on a four-year athletic basketball scholarship where he earned a Bachelors in Business Administration degree, minoring in Agriculture. He was also a Dale Carnegie graduate in 1978. Throughout his professional career he was associated with several Arkansas car dealerships winning awards for Excellence in Customer Satisfaction. These dealerships include Cliff Chevrolet, Little Rock; Bale Chevrolet, Little Rock; Russell Chevrolet/Honda, Sherwood; Russell Honda, Sherwood; Honda World, Conway; concluding 2002 with Conway Toyota, Conway. He was a member of the following civic organizations, serving as an office in most: Conway Rotary Club, Bentonville Rotary Club, Riverside Rotary Club, Bentonville Education and Enrichment Program, Bentonville Chamber of Commerce, Benton County Razorback Club, Northwest Arkansas Community College, Conway Chamber of Commerce, and Cystic Fibrosis Board of Directors. He was an avid golfer and sports fan. He was a loyal supporter of the Greenbrier High School teams attending every game he could. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, John Edwin Watson. He is survived by the loves of his life Trish Nelson and daughters whom he adored Kyla Webb (Jacob) and Kristin Miller (Josh Payne); his extended family the Lawrence (Larry) and Bonnie Nelson Family; nephews Jonathan Watson, Jordan Watson, Chris White and Jamie White; sister in law Brenda Watson; and a host of friends made during the many walks in his life including golfing buddies and those made through his association with the Wagon Wheel Restaurant. Services will be conducted by Bishop-Crites Funeral Home, Greenbrier, Ark., with visitation being Tuesday, August 14, 2018, 6 -8 p.m. at the funeral home. Funeral will be at LifeSong Baptist Church, Greenbrier, Ark., Wednesday, August 15, 2018 at 3 p.m. officiated by Bro, Freddie Mark Wilcox.
