Ophelia Glass-Johnson
Ophelia Glass-Johnson, 76, of North Little Rock, Ark., departed this life August 11. She was preceded in death by: twin brother, Edward Glass, brothers, Andrew Glass and Willie Elbert Glass; sister, Mary Matthews; father, Willie Glass Sr.; mother, Lila Brewer Glass.
Mrs. Johnson was a licensed minister. She was also a Retired Educator. She was a school teacher for 34 years in the Pulaski County Special School District. She was a member of Full Counsel Metro Church where she remained faithful until the Lord called her home. She was a member of the North Pulaski Retired Teachers Association, the Ladies of Leasure, the Pinewood Lunch Bunch, the Full Counsel Golden Agers and the Harris Alumi Association. She co-founded Voices of Faith Evangelistic (VOFE) Ministries and hosted a radio broadcast on KITA radio station.
She leaves to cherish her memory: husband, Elvin Johnson Sr.; children, Caroline (Brian) Banks of Grand Prairie, Texas; sons, Elvin Todd (Cheryl) Johnson of LR, Courtney (Andrea) Johnson of NLR, Alton (Michelle) Johnson of NLR, and Deon (Ranneisha) Johnson of Cedar Hill, Texas; siblings, Edith Glass of Sherwood and Van Glass of Los Angeles, Calif.; 23 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
