Georgia Witkowski Fortner Rogers, 76, was born into this world on November 18, 1941, in Little Rock, Arkansas. She was proud to be the daughter of Marion E. & Ruth Witkowski of North Little Rock and a devoted wife to Carl Rogers of Romance, Arkansas. Georgia had a servant's heart and was mission minded. She graduated from North Little Rock, Class of 1959. A deeply caring person, she was involved with the Romance Church of Christ, a Floyd- Romance Fire Department first responder, White County Historical Society, Pioneer Village in Searcy and numerous Veterans charities. She gave generously with her time and money to family, friends, church, community, and donated to over 50 charities. In addition to her big heart, she had a passion for history and genealogy. Georgia is survived by her husband Carl and three of her four sons: Tony Fortner of North Little Rock, Michael Fortner of Lake Jackson, Texas, and Jeffrey Fortner of North Little Rock: her five grandchildren: Tori Fortner, Max, Sloan, Cutler, and Stormie; four of her five siblings: Marilyn (Tommy) Wright, Steven (Beckey) Witkowski, Susan Witkowski and Randy Witkowski all of Pulaski County. Granddaughter, Michelle (Jeff) Bowers, grandson, Scott (Leann) Rogers, great-grandchildren, Emma, Cannon, Lindsey and Kaylin, Harper and Elliot. She was preceded in death by her parents, son, Gregory Fortner, grandson, Jessie Wayne Fortner and brother, Tommy Witkowski. Georgia will be remembered as a caring woman who entrusted her life to God with out reservation. Her greatest gift was the giving of self. In this spirit, do as Georgia would do and say, "Just Give." And to you, Georgia, we say: "We love you. You will be deeply missed. May God provide rest for your soul, refreshment for your mind and everlasting peace for your eternal body, God be with you." Family will receive friends Thursday, August 23, 2018, 6 to 8 p.m. at Smith-Westbrook Funeral Home. Funeral will be Friday, August 24, at 10 a.m. at Romance Church of Christ.
