Edwin Lee Chaney

Edwin Lee "Eddie" Chaney, 65, died Tuesday. He was the son of the late Edwin Charles and Ruth Blanton Chaney. Eddie was retired from the Arkansas Highway Department after 34 years of employment. He was a 1971 graduate of Bald Knob High School and often enjoyed flying model airplanes with his son. Mr. Chaney was a Civil War buff, avid historian, longtime member of the Sons of Confederate Veterans and enjoyed participating in war re-enactments. Eddie also appeared as an extra in the movies "The Blue and the Grey" and "Glory." Survivors: wife, Elonda Chaney; son, Jonathan Chaney; sister, Jeannie Freppon (David).
