Garvin B. Myhand Jr.

Garvin B. Myhand Jr., age 69, of Fort Smith, formerly of Little Rock, Arkansas, died on Wednesday, August 22, 2018. He was born on March 2, 1949, the son of Garvin B. Myhand and Martha Ann Clark Myhand. He was preceded in death by his parents; and three siblings, Jerralyn Crook, Clark Myhand and Frank Myhand. Garvin loved the Beatles, the Rolling Stones and playing the ponies. They will miss him at Oaklawn… "and they're off!" He is survived by Michele Myhand of Fort Smith and his children, Blair Myhand (Nana) of Clayton, North Carolina, Deborah Mathis (Steve) of Tualatin, Oregon and Laney Meyer (Caleb) of Lone Tree, Colorado. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Joshua, Tyler and Caleb Myhand, Ryan, Ethan and Mackenzie Mathis, Sophia, Lexi, Izzy and Jameson Meyer and Ellisara Myhand; numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m., Sunday, August 26, 2018 at Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Hot Springs with burial immediately following at Oak Grove Cemetery, Sunshine.
