IDA V. BROOKS, 79, of Little Rock, Ark., departed this life August 21. She was preceded in death by: parents, Elisha and Teresa Benjamin; son, James Smith; husband, Wesley Brooks; brother, Donald Benjamin; sister, Eliza Anderson. She leaves to cherish her memory: children, Melvin E. Smith, Karen (Lenwood) Jacobs, Lynn (Joe) Franklin, Howard Brooks and Jackie (Roy) Brooks-Boyd; siblings, Doffie (Delores) Benjamin, Floyd Benjamin, Elisha (Jessie) Benjamin Jr., Sam (Valerie) Benjamin, Doris (Adam) Richard, Eulice (Clyde) White, Lloyd Benjamin, Brenda (John) Thrower, Isabella (Melvin) McAlister; ten grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and other relatives and friends.
