Glenn Reed Eldridge

Glenn Reed Eldridge, 79, departed this earthly life Sunday, August 26, at home in Maumelle, Arkansas. The seventh child born to the late Vester and Glennie Eldridge, he grew up on a farm at Birta, Arkansas. He was the owner of Glenn Eldridge Plumbing Company, Inc. for 40 years, retiring in 2008. He was an avid deer hunter and enjoyed working on antique farm tractors. Glenn is survived by his wife of 53 years, Marilyn Jaynes Eldridge; two sons, Jason (Donna Rae) of Mayflower, Arkansas and Jody (Leah) of Rogers, Arkansas; two grandchildren, Jesse and Winona Eldridge of Mayflower; two sisters, Joyce Baskins of Mountain Home and Anna (Charles) Kiser of Grand Rapids, Michigan; one brother, Hugh (Margie) Eldridge of Birta; one dear brother-in-law, Carroll West of Fayetteville; and several nieces and nephews. Other than his parents, Glenn was preceded in death by two brothers, T.J. and Billy Eldridge; two sisters, Sue Martin and Patsy Jean, who died as a toddler. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, August 30, at the Harris Funeral Home Chapel with Gary Crain officiating. Burial will be at Casa Cemetery by Harris Funeral Home of Morrilton.
