Rev. Elmer J. Whitbeck

Rev. Elmer J. Whitbeck, 92, of Sterling, NE, passed away March 21, 2018. Born January 1, 1926, in Underwood, PA, to Frank Arthur & Elizabeth (Coates) Whitbeck. Rev. Whitbeck was a minister at Back to the Bible, retiring in 1988. Member of Lincoln Berean Church; a WWII U.S. Marine Corps veteran serving in the Marine Air Warning Squadron #11; THB – Nyack College; Ordained as a conservative Baptist. Family members include his wife, Mary Ruth Whitbeck; sons & spouses, Gordon (Bonnie Sue) Whitbeck, Robert (Wei) Whitbeck; daughters & spouses, Bonnie Ruth (Rev. Dean) Patterson, Robyn (Ed) Milligan, Esther (Matt) Stolz; 16 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Jeanne Whitbeck; nieces & nephews. Preceded in death by parents and two brothers, Frank and Merle. Funeral Service: 11:00 a.m. Tuesday 3/27/18 at Roper & Sons South Lincoln Chapel, 3950 Hohensee Dr. (40th & Yankee Hill Rd).
