Darrel Wayne Lockhart, 82, of Springdale went to be with his Lord and Savior on May 8, 2018. He was born Aug. 3, 1935 in Johnson to Tommie Wayne and Ethel Mozelle Haskins Lockhart. Darrel Wayne was a 1953 graduate of Springdale High School. He retired from Heekin Can Company (Ball Corporation) in 1993 after 38 years. He was a faithful member of the Elmdale Baptist Church where he served as a deacon and other areas of service. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Louise Ford Lockhart, in 1992; his daughter, Kelly Denise Lockhart; a sister, Margaret Howard; a brother-in-law, Lewis Neal; and four nephews. Darrel Wayne is survived by his wife, Hannah Hutchins Lockhart; one son, Kenneth Lockhart of Eureka Springs; two stepchildren, Steve Hutchins and wife Karrie, Kim Bramall and husband Rick all of Springdale; two sisters, Charlsie Griffith and husband Gene of Tulsa, Lorene Neal of Springdale; and five step-grandchildren, Sarah Bramall Matteri and husband Cody, Colton Bramall and wife Bree, Jackson Hutchins, Mason Hutchins and Karson Hutchins, who loved him dearly. The family wishes to thank The Maples at Har-Ber Meadows, especially the 200 hall nurses and staff, and Windcrest Health and Rehab for their care of Darrel Wayne. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 15, at Elmdale Baptist Church with interment at Bluff Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Monday at the Heritage Funeral Home, online guestbook available at www.heritageofnwa.com.
