Jessie Forbis

Jessie Forbis, 86, a resident of Fort Smith passed away Sunday, November 11, 2018, at the Heart of Hospice Palliative Care Unit in Fort Smith. She was born May 13, 1932, in New Blaine to the late Everett E. and Alice B. (Mullings) Adams. Jessie was a member of the East Side Baptist Church in Fort Smith. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, William D. Forbis. Survivors include a cousin, Norma Galusha and husband, Harry of Little Rock; a nephew, Steve Forbis and wife, Paula of Paris; a niece, Cristi Cleveland and husband, Jared of Springdale and a sister-in-law, Fran Forbis of Paris. The family would like to give a special thanks to her friends who were always willing to help: Daniel Davis, James Hebert, Renae McLeroy; Ellen Tedford and Steve and Jan Owens. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, November 14, 2018, at Oakwood Cemetery in Paris. Burial will follow under the direction of Roller Funeral Home in Paris.
