Deborah Elizabeth Benjamin (nee Magner), was born in Castletownroche, County Cork, Ireland to James and Elizabeth (nee Neligan) Magner. Debby passed away peacefully at home in the loving care of her family in her 90th year. Debby was the wife of the late Jerry, much loved mother to Lyn and Jerry, adored grandmother of Samantha and Parke Benjamin and mother-in-law to Bill Owens and the late Pixi Benjamin. She was the sister of James Magner and Norah Creavy both of Castletownroche and sister-in-law of Lysle Benjamin. She was preceded by her sister, Maureen, sister-in-law ,Geraldine Magner of Castletownroche and brothers-in-law, Bill and Tony of Jersey Channel Islands and her best friend Peggy Johnson. Debby will be forever missed and lovingly remembered by her daughter, son, grandchildren, sister, brother, son-in-law, Bill, numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, cousins and friends around the world. Her nieces, Sindy and Maeve attended Debby for extended periods during her illness, their kindness was a great comfort to Debby and her family. Debby came to USA in 1947 and met Dad in New York. Our mother was very proud of becoming an American Citizen while Jerry was stationed in the territory of Alaska with the US Air Force. She moved to Little Rock Air Force Base with Jerry while he was with the SAC 43rd BW squadron flying the Supersonic B-58 Hustler. They retired in North Little Rock, where Debby owned and operated Gallery Flowers for over 30 years. She loved her work as a florist and the joy her flower arrangements gave to others. Debby loved her many animals and leaves behind cats Bailey, Myesha and Bo and Pekingese Lily and Sophie. Please consider a donation in her memory to The Humane Society of Pulaski County, 14600 Colonel Glenn Rd, Little Rock, 72110. Our family would also like to thank her caregivers Tanesha, Joyce and Johnnie for their kindness and care. Debby was a kind loving woman with a heart of gold who loved her life in America but never forgot her beloved Ireland.
