Ethel Viola Scroggins

Ethel Viola Scroggins, 89, of Stuttgart, passed away Saturday, November 17, 2018. She was born June 6, 1929, in Stuttgart to the late Harry Engelkes and Martha Earlywine Engelkes. She worked as an LPN from 1971 to 2002 at Golden Years Manor, Rose Care, Van Duyn Clinic, and Arkansas County Home Health. She was a Methodist. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 63 years, Kenneth Scroggins; her brothers, Lloyd Engelkes, Wilbur Engelkes, Kenneth "Pickle" Engelkes; her sisters, Edna Neukam, Juanita Bennett, and Thelma Engelkes; and twin great-grandsons, Jack Clark and Nate Clark. Ethel is survived by four children, Roger Scroggins of Stuttgart, Becky Fortune (Dennis) of Stuttgart, Kathy Raabe (Oliver) of Almyra, and Harriet Sheeks (Danny) of Stuttgart; six grandchildren, Ekko Greenhill (Brian), Fara Long (David), Tania Clark (Richard), Rory Cline (Chris), Baily Simpson and Garrett Sheeks; and four great-grandchildren, Spencer Greenhill, Will Henry Clark, Charlie Cline and Oliver Cline. Funeral services are 2 p.m. Tuesday as Turpin Funeral Home with burial following in Lone Tree Cemetery. Visitation will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Turpin Funeral Home.
