LeRoy "Tuck" Tucker, 87, passed away in his home on November 18, 2018. A writer, humorist and self-described curmudgeon, LeRoy was a man of words and ideas, a savvy businessman, and a witty storyteller. A graduate of Ash Flat High School, LeRoy wrote countless short stories throughout his life, and at 80 years old he published a novel called "Cotton on the Rocks." LeRoy also was a self-taught guitarist and a reader of history, philosophy and poetry. LeRoy served his country as a proud Marine, and he worked his way up through the ranks of General Motors from the assembly line to upper management. He was married to the love of his life, Patsy Nadine Sutherland, for 69 years. Together they raised three daughters: Patti Lee Fleischner (Mark) of Hot Springs, Ark., Susan Diana Tucker of Rochester, Mich., and Rebecca Ann Denton (Jerod) of Nashville, Tenn., and had eight grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. LeRoy is survived by his wife Patsy Tucker, his sister DeLoris Lawrence, and is preceded in death by his parents, Roy Alfred Tucker and Tressie DeLoris (Martin), and his brother, Weston Tucker. A memorial service will be Saturday, November 24, at 11 a.m. at the Tri-County Funeral Home in Hardy, Ark. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Arkansas Children's Hospital or a charity of your choice.
