Sedral Johnson

Sedral "Sid" Johnson, 83, of Batesville passed away Monday, November 26, 2018. He was born on Sunday, February 3, 1935 to Claude Judson and Mae Ruth (Wright) Johnson In Sidney, Arkansas. Sedral was a very happy man, always smiling, loved everybody, and wanted to know if you knew Jesus. He preached for 52 years as a Missionary Baptist preacher. When he wasn't reading his Bible he enjoyed taking walks with his wife, who he married on May 12, 1956. They were so in love, they held hands every night before they went to sleep. He is survived by his loving wife, Gwenda (Webb) Johnson; one son, Keith Johnson (Renee) of Newark; one daughter, Lisa Hunter (Tracy) of Cushman; eight grandchildren, Angela Kourakis, Daniel (Lindsey) Johnson, Bryan (Mandi) Johnson, Victor (Kayla) Doffin, Josh (Malorie) Hahn, Samantha (Sean Garver) Hahn, Alicia (Cody) Beasley, Lacy Hunter; 15 great-grandchildren; one nephew, Jerry Webb; several cousins, and many friends. Sedral is preceded in death by his parents. Pallbearers will be Bryan Johnson, Daniel Johnson, Jerry, Webb, Josh Hahn, Cody Beasley, and Keegan Johnson. Honorary pallbearers include the staff at Cave City Nursing Home. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, November 29, 2018 at the Roller-Crouch Chapel with Boyce Gail Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at Barren Fork Cemetery.
