Marilyn Anne Oswald Mernah, 89, of North Little Rock, passed away on Monday, November 26, 2018. She was born on August 1, 1929 in Little Rock to the late Joseph and Anne Olberts Oswald. Marilyn was a graduate of Mount St. Mary Academy and Little Rock Junior College (now UALR), where she was a member of Battlecrier Sorority. She then joined the Disabled American Veterans organization as Executive Secretary. Marilyn married the love of her life, William R. (Bill) Mernah Jr., on December 26, 1959 and retired in January 1961. She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in North Little Rock, where she served as Eucharistic Minister and President of the Ladies Guild. Marilyn was a devoted wife, mother, and Ma-Ma, and family was her top priority. She lovingly cared for her handicapped son at home for many years. Marilyn enjoyed long phone calls with friends and family and liked watching television shopping network programs. She always had an upbeat attitude and a smile on her face. Marilyn is survived by her husband of almost 59 years, Bill, daughter and son-in-law, Melissa and Scott Ervin, daughter, Melanie Price and grandsons, Evan and Kyle Price all of North Little Rock, sister, Evalyn Wren, of Little Rock, and many nieces, nephews, extended family and good friends. In addition to her parents, Marilyn was preceded in death by her son, Michael, identical twin sister, Carolyn Bruich, brothers, Norbert, Edward and Julian Oswald, and son-in-law, Paul Price. Visitation will be held at Smith – North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main St., North Little Rock, Ark. 72114 on Thursday, November 29, 2018 from 6 to 7 p.m., with a rosary to follow. Funeral service will be held on Friday, November 30, 2018 at 1 p.m. at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 211 W. 19th Street, North Little Rock, AR 72114. Graveside service will be held on Saturday, December 1, 2018 at 1 p.m., at Griffin Leggett Rest Hills Memorial Park, 7724 Landers Road, North Little Rock, Ark. 72117.
