Mary Ellen Sibley Black

Mary Ellen Sibley Black, 93, of North Little Rock passed away on Sunday, March 31, 2019. She was born May 8, 1925, in Round Mountain, Arkansas to the late John W. and Thaner Griffin Sibley. She is preceded in death by her husband, Everette Roger Black, Sr.; daughter, Shirley Ann Johnson; sons, Everette Black, Jr. and Jimmy Black; brothers, Herman Sibley, Bill Wiley, and Johnny Wiley; sister, Otis Lee Spencer; great-grandchildren, Trisha and Triston White; and a great-great-grandson. She is survived by daughters, Delores Lark and Ginger Sappington (Dennis); grandchildren, Gary Shaw, Cheryl Thomas, Ellen Hubbard, Roger Black, Bobby Black, Jimmy Dale Black, Will Black, Wendy Travis, Dusty Johnson, Travis Johnson, and Thad Sappington; 28 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great-grandchildren. She was retired from the U.S. postal service and a proud member of Graves Memorial Baptist Church. Visitation will be Wednesday, April 3, 2019 from 6-8 p.m. at Graves Memorial Baptist Church in North Little Rock. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Thursday April 4, 2019 at the church; officiated by Bro. Travis Matthews and Bro. James Thomason. Interment will be 2 p.m. at Springhill Cemetery.
