Mary Sue Rowe Burgess

Mary Sue Rowe Burgess, age 66, of Monticello, passed away Tuesday, April 2, 2019 at Drew Memorial Hospital in Monticello. She was born November 12, 1952 in Dermott, Ark. to the late Mary Christine Odom Chambers Rowe and Pete Junior Rowe of Monticello She was affectionately known as "Ms. Monticello Live", a housewife and was of the Baptist faith. In addition to her mother, she was also preceded in death by one son, Eric Lee Wash. Survivors include her husband, Joe Burgess of Monticello; one son, Benjamin Burgess and wife Jennifer of Fountain Hill; her father, Pete Junior Rowe of Monticello; two brothers, Vernon Rowe and wife Sandra of Pittsburg, TX and Norman Rowe and wife Lisa of Cabot; two granddaughters, Kaylee Faith Wash and Jacie Ann Wash; numerous nieces and nephews and one poodle, Mickey. Graveside service will be 3 p.m. Wednesday, April 3, 2019 at Tillar Cemetery with Rev. Sanders Brooks officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations are encouraged to the Gideon Camp of Monticello, P.O.
