Vera Rutherford Bradshaw

Vera Rutherford Bradshaw, of Redfield, Ark., was born April 9, 1926, in Grant County Ark., the daughter of Ell and Ollie Taylor Rutherford. Vera fought forest fires with her father, worked the assembly line building bombs at the Pine Bluff Arsenal during World War II, was a switch board operator for Redfield Telephone Co. and later clerked in McBurnett's Grocery Store. She was the last surviving Charter Member of Redfield Chapter No. 530 Order of the Eastern Star. Vera enjoyed gardening, fishing, traveling and at the age of 92 could still play a mean game of double nine dominoes. Most of all she was a Mom, Grandmother, Great Grandmother and a woman who believed you can do anything once you put your mind to it. Vera died at the age of 93 on April 10, 2019, in Sheridan Healthcare and Rehab, Sheridan, Ark. She was preceded in death by her husband, Garland J. Bradshaw; son, James M. "Jim" Bradshaw; parents, Ell and Ollie Rutherford; brothers, Frank, Thomas, Claud Rutherford; and sisters, Thelma Moore Harris, Euel Dean Goodman, Nancy "Inez" Trimboli. She is survived by two daughters and their families: Mary Ann, Paul, Michele and Danielle "Dani" Jordan of Redfield; Frances, Jeff and Michael Reinert of Minn.; and Jason, Amanda, Shelia and Orion Reinert of N.D.; daughter-in-law, Lori Bradshaw; and grandsons and their families, Christopher "Chris" and Amber Bradshaw of Texas, Timothy "Tim", Tegan and Townesend Bradshaw of Ariz.; one sister, Edna and Charles Harris of Ore. We will not have a funeral service at this time but will have a visitation at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home in Sheridan, Ark., from 5 p.m.-6 p.m., Tuesday, April 16. www.memorialgardenssheridan.com
