Betty Jo Rendon, 89, of Bentonville passed away Thursday, April 10, 2019 at Circle of Life Legacy Village. Betty was born in Bentonville on March 18, 1930 to Joseph and Elba Sandwell. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert L. Rendon and sons Marc Lee and Britt Allen Rendon and her sister-in-law, Phyllis Black. Betty worked as a tour director for Landmark Tours in Sacramento traveling extensively in the US and Internationally. She worked at Black's Ready to Wear, Boon's Jeans and Buell Florist in Bentonville. Betty volunteered at the Rogers Wellness Center and the First Presbyterian Church Food Bank. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Bentonville. Betty is survived by her daughter, Debra Lynne Cawood, her husband Mike, of Anderson, Mo.; grandchildren Jennifer Cook, Brooke Lane and Coy Cawood; her great-grandchildren, Alysha Cook, Chance, Chase and Trace Cawood, Rendon Lane and a great-great-grandson Alexander Cook; grandchildren of her deceased son, Britt Rendon; Jasmine, Holly and Dylan Rendon; a brother, Thomas Sandwell, his wife Mary Anne of Newton, KS; their children and grandchildren; a sister, JoBeth Schneider of Bentonville and her daughter, three grandchildren and one great grandson; her deceased sister-in-law Phyllis Black, her children and grandchildren. Betty maintained many long close friendships in California and Arkansas. She enjoyed having family get togethers and holiday parties for family & friends. She loved gardening, volunteering & traveling. A memorial service will be held at the First Presbyterian Church in Bentonville on Friday, April 19, 2019 at 3 p.m. Arrangements are made by Bella Vista Funeral Home and Crematory.
