Larry Dean Land, 73, of Conway, Ark., passed away Sunday April 7, 2019, at John L. McClellan Memorial Veterans Hospital in Little Rock, Ark. Larry was born in Hot Springs, Ark., on March 12, 1946, to Hubert Bob & Ruth Mae (Butler) Land. He is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his three loving children, sons Anthony (Paula) Land of Springville, Ala., Justin (Brynn-fiance') Land and daughter Peyton Land, all of Conway, Ark.; three wonderful grandsons, Carson, Connor & Cooper Land all of Springville, Ala.; one sister, Sheila Land Lineberry of Birmingham, Ala.; the mother of his two youngest children, Missy Land of Sherwood, Ark. and several cousins, nieces and one nephew. Larry graduated from Hot Springs High School in 1964, and shortly after joined the Navy. He was stationed in Coronado, Calif., and fought in Vietnam. He served his country for 5 years and was honorably discharged in 1970, with a National Defense Service Medal. After his military service he was a very successful car salesman for over 40 years. Larry loved to meet new people and never met a stranger; if you ever met him you loved him. He was very charismatic. He loved to fish, cook, NASCAR, horse racing and above all he loved his children and grandchildren. He was very proud of his three children and talked about them to anyone that would listen. Larry was unwavering in his faith and would always quote scripture. He will be missed dearly by his family and friends. Donations can be made in his name to The Faulkner County Humane Society or any charity of your choice. The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and entire staff at the John L. McClellan Memorial Veterans Hospital for the loving care they provided. A Memorial Celebration with Military Honors will be held on Tuesday, April 16, 2019, at 10 a.m. at the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery in North Little Rock, Ark.
