Susan Elizabeth Elms

Susan Elizabeth Elms, age 51, of Fayetteville, died Thursday, April 18, 2019 in Fayetteville. She was born August 13, 1967 in Wynne, Arkansas, the daughter of Henry and Betty Mayes Elms. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Mary Ann Elms Riley. She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ. She was the first woman in her family to receive a college degree; she graduated from Arkansas State University with a degree in finance. She began her career at Walmart Corporate HQ in Bentonville, but when her two sons came along her focus was solely on them. She loved to cook big family meals, to hike the Buffalo River and to spend time with her family and dear friends. She had great tastes in music and fashion, and always gave the best advice. She will be remembered for her laughs, her hugs and her unconditional love. She always found time for others and will never be forgotten. She is survived by two sons, Carter Grimes III and Blake Grimes both of Atlanta, Georgia; two brothers, David Elms and his wife Jennifer and Tim Elms, all of Fayetteville; three nephews, Josh Elms, Michael Riley and Tyler Elms; a great-niece, Kobie Elms and her dog, Ringo. Visitation will be 1 p.m. – 2 p.m. Monday, April 22, 2019 at Moore's Chapel with a funeral service at 2 p.m. Burial will be in Mount Comfort Cemetery, under the direction of Moore's Chapel.
