Diane Leah Hammersley

DIANE LEAH HAMMERSLEY, 65, of Jacksonville went to be with the Lord in Heaven on April 25, 2019. Diane was born on February 6, 1954 in San Antonio, Texas to the late Gerald "Jerry" and Phyllis Osher Neppl. She was as close to an angel as a person could be. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren who all called her Nana. She was fortunate enough to meet the love of her life, Wayne and enjoyed the life they built together. Her pastimes included reading, keeping up with current events, and most importantly her devotion to her church. Diane was the most amazing Nana to her grand-kids and the best example of a mother. She will be severely missed by her family and friends as she was one of the kindest souls you could ever meet. In addition to her parents, Diane was preceded in death by her mother, Bernadette Neppl; brother, Joseph Neppl and sister, Mary Neppl. Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 29 years, Wayne Hammersley, children, Nathan (Gina) Allen of Cabot, Candice (Steven) Ahearn of Clarksville, Bobisu Willis of Eureka Springs, Adam (Desiree) Hammersley of Reno, Jennifer (Jeffrey) Hand of Jacksonville, twenty-one grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. Other survivors include brother, Anthony Neppl; sisters, Cynthia Canarina, Kathy Nadeau and Roberta Hodge; along with many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and other family members. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m., Tuesday, April 30, 2019 at St. Jude Catholic Church. Interment will take place in Estherville, Iowa. Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., Monday, April 29, 2019 at Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home with Rosary beginning at 7 p.m. Arrangements by Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home, (501) 982-2136.
