Jim Eugene Dorsett

Jim "Jimmy" Eugene Dorsett, 49, of Rogers, Ark. left us to be in the arms of Jesus on July 30, 2019. He was born March 16, 1970 in San Bernardino, Calif., the third of four children. Jim worked at Open Avenues in Rogers. He had countless friends from his community, church and the Sunshine School. He enjoyed fishing, puzzles, playing the guitar and singing songs for Jesus. He loved his family very much. He was the favorite uncle to his nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews. Jimmy never met anyone who was not affected by his loving personality. Jimmy is survived by his parents, Jim and Sharon Dorsett of the home; sister, Glynda Lockhart of Flint Ridge, Okla.; sister and brother-in-law, Michelle and Steve Robison of Siloam Springs, Ark.; brother and sister-in-law, David and Vicky Dorsett of Bentonville, Ark.; niece, Tabitha Hyso and husband, Matt; three nephews, Chase Robison and wife, Erica, Kelton Robison, and Joseph Dorsett; his "grandest" nieces and nephews, Samantha, Hailey, Liam, Steven, Kimber, Lily, and Nathan; longtime friend, Julie Worley; and many friends. He is joined in Heaven with his grandparents, Eugene and Retha Hollaway; and grandmother, Ethel Dorsett. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, August 2, 2019 at the First Nazarene Church in Rogers with Pastor Alan Johnson officiating. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time. Interment will be at Union Chapel Cemetery in Garfield, Ark. at a later date.
