James Curtis (Jimmy) Smith

James Curtis (Jimmy) Smith, 59, of Cabot, passed away July 30, 2019. He was born July 14, 1960 in Little Rock to James and Doris Smart Smith. Jimmy was an amazing person./ He wasn't a man of many words, but his words were always kind and came from the heart. He was opinionated in his own way, not offensive, but truthful. Jimmy was a very hard worker. He could accomplish anything he set his mind to do. He was found many days working in the yard, working on his automobiles or ATV's. He enjoyed playing golf, fishing and hunting. Jimmy loved the outdoors and one of his proudest trophies was a three bearded turkey he shot, which he displayed on his wall. He maintained hunting property and guided hunts. Jimmy was a former canine police officer for the North Little Rock Police Department. Jimmy was preceded in death by his father. Survivors include his loving wife of 21 years, Tami Autry Smith, who helped him through his fight against cancer during the last seven years; son, Hunter Smith; mother, Doris Smith; sister, Sherri (Jay) Kovach; brother, Rusty Smith; a host of nieces and nephews and his devoted dog, Maddie. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Brad Baltz and his staff for the care provided for Jimmy. Visitation will be 2-4 p.m., Sunday, August 4, 2019 at Moore's Cabot Funeral Home. Arrangements by Moore's Cabot Funeral Home, 501-843-5816. Please sign our online guestbook: www.moorescabotfuneralhome.com.
