Thomas P. Kelly

Thomas Patrick Kelly, born September 13, 1946, went to be with the Lord on August 10, 2019. Thomas "Tom" to his friends, is survived by his wife of 36 years, Roswitha "Rosie"; daughter, Nicole Kelly-Smith, (loving son-in-law, Craig); two beautiful, wild, loving grandchildren, Hailey Smith (six) and Aiden Smith (four), who called him "Opie"; other survivors include a sister, Mary Geno (Charlie); and a brother, Joseph Kelly (Kathy), both of St. Louis. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and June Kelly, preceded him in death. Tom served in the Army for 27 1/2 years during the Vietnam era, and had a disability retirement. He was a lifetime member of the DAV and the American Legion. He never met a stranger and always tried to help people. He lived for his family that he loved so much. He was a loving husband, father, Opie and friend. Funeral services, with Military Honors, will be 1 p.m. Thursday, August 15, 2019 in the chapel of Griffin Leggett Healey & Roth, 5800 W. 12th St., Little Rock (501) 661-9111.
