Myra Miles Moran, 77, of Rogers, Arkansas passed away August 15, 2019 at her home. She was born October 30th of the year 1941 in Omaha, Nebraska as the daughter of the late Edward and Virginia Hoover Miles. She graduated with a Bachelors Degree of History and Political Science from the University of Arkansas in Little Rock. Myra was the Editor of the State Senate Journal for many legislative sessions in Little Rock between 1971 and 2003. She was also the Coordinator for the Center for Arkansas Studies at UALR (where it is was founded). Myra was also the owner and operator of Trolley Line Bookstore in Little Rock and Rogers from 1985 to 2018. She was also a committee-woman on the Rogers Planning Commission with her focus being on downtown Rogers development. Myra loved books, and she would channel this love by organizing and leading vintage book tours of the United Kingdom on several occasions. Her other love was politics, and was extremely active in Democratic Party functions in both central and northwest Arkansas. She is survived by her husband Donald Pat Moran of the home; sons, Jon Moran of Rogers, Andrew Moran of Fayetteville, daughters, Erin Waddington of Atlanta, Dorinda Fox of Orlando, brothers, Jerry Miles, Joseph Miles and Jimmy Miles of Omaha, sister, Linda Miles of Omaha, grandchildren, Jennifer Hennelly of Atlanta, Molly and Tyler Fox of Orlando, Ashlyn Gregory and Brooklyn Moran of Fayetteville and Miles Moran of Rogers. Memorial Services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday; August 18, 2019 at the Benton County Funeral Home, 306 N. 4th St., Rogers, Arkansas. A celebration of Myra's life will follow at the Rogers Chamber of Commerce Office located at 317 W. Walnut St. in Rogers, Ark. Condolences can be made at www.bentoncountyfuneralhome.com.
