Margaret J. "Peg" Johnson

Margaret J. "Peg" Johnson, 95, of Overland Park, Kan. passed away 8/22/2019. Peg was born 2/26/1924 in Phoenix, Ariz. Peg met Roy Johnson in high school and they married in March 1943. While Roy was overseas with the Navy during WWII she worked at Merck and Co. and Railway Express. During their many moves with the FAA she enjoyed doing volunteer work, working in their gardens and playing golf and bridge. She and Roy moved to Bella Vista, Ark. in 1983 where she added Mah-Jongg, entertaining and crossword puzzles to her pastimes. She was a member of Bella Vista Community Church and moved to Overland Park, Kan. in June 2019. She was preceded in death by: her husband, Roy, parents, Maggie E. (Farmer) and John H. McMurray and two brothers, John and James McMurray. Survivors include: son, Michael Johnson of Tulsa, Okla.; daughter, Dianne "Dee" Morley of Overland Park, Kan.; grandson, James Johnson (Stacy) Statham, Ga.; granddaughter, Christa Simmons (Zach) Katy, Texas; grandson, Jason Studna (Aimee) Overland Park, Kan.; great-granddaughters, Brianna, Alison and Megan Studna, Abigail and Ella Johnson and Katelyn Simmons; great-grandsons, Andrew Simmons and Zachary Studna. Memorial contributions are suggested to: The Alzheimer's Association or donor's choice. A private service will be held in Prairie Village, Kan.
