Ida Lee Luper, age 89, of Springdale, Arkansas, passed away August 24, 2019, in Springdale. She was born October 14, 1929 in Harmon Community, the daughter of George A. Hendrix, Sr. and Anna Eulah Diven Hendrix. She married Frank Luper in Columbus, Kansas on January 20, 1947. She was a homemaker, waitress and caregiver throughout her life with a heart for children and she had a goal in life of making sure everyone was fed. Grandma Ida was a great cook. She made the best pies and German chocolate cakes. She loved to play Yahtzee and other games with her friends and grandchildren. She was saved and baptized in the Second Baptist Church of Fayetteville in 1955. She was preceded by her husband. She is survived by one son, Gary F. Luper and his wife, Leana, of Springdale, Arkansas; one brother, George A. Hendrix, Jr. and his wife, Martha; three grandchildren: Tiffiney Byers, Frankie Luper and his wife, Angela, and Jennifer Davis and her husband, Jon; seven great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren and several nephews and nieces. A Graveside Memorial Service will be Saturday, August 31, 2019, at 11 a.m. at Stuckey Cemetery in Johnson, Arkansas with Pastor Steve Borland of Journey Church NWA officiating under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home, 3926 Willowood Avenue, Springdale, Arkansas 72762.
