Samia Akel Kassees

Samia Akel Kassees, 65, of Sherwood, passed away on November 29, 2019. She was born in Ramallah, Palestine on March 23, 1954 to Ghanem and Nali Kassees. Samia was a great Christian woman who was active in her church. She was an excellent cook and enjoyed feeding her family and friends. Samia enjoyed needle point and crochet and was employed by Home Depot for 18 years. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Mazen Kassees; and nephew, Ganem Kassees. She is survived by two sons, Essa G Akel (Lucinda Ruth) and Ishak Akel, both of Sherwood; her brothers and their spouses; and many nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 4, 2019 from 6-7 p.m. at Roller-Owens Funeral Home in North Little Rock with a Rosary beginning at 7 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, December 5, 2019 at 10 a.m. at the Cathedral of St. Andrew in Little Rock with burial to follow at Rest Hill Memorial Park.
