Barbara Anne Rankin Price

Barbara Anne Rankin Price, born on October 19, 1932 in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, daughter of Ethel Smith and Durell Odell Rankin, died Monday, December 16, 2019. She graduated from Pine Bluff High School and was a member of the Class of 1950. Anne attended Henderson State University, where she was a member of Alpha Sigma Alpha Sorority and sweetheart of Kappa Sigma Kappa Fraternity. She married Smith Martin Price in 1954. They were married for 53 years until his death in 2007. They were blessed with two children Gregory Martin Price and Jan Lorraine Price. Anne was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Lonoke, where she served a Deacon and Elder, a member of Lonoke Bridge club, Lonoke Book Club, Lonoke Lunch Bunch and Bunco Group. She worked for Lonoke County Farm Bureau for 32 years. Anne enjoyed water aerobics, swimming and playing bridge. Survivors include her son and his wife Gregory Martin Price and Nikki of Scottsdale, Arizona; daughter, Jan Lorraine Price of Maumelle; sister, Jean Austin of Greers Ferry; grandchildren and their spouses, Geoffrey Martin Price and Jon Uhl of Chicago and Sara and Aldo Burcheri and their child, Larkin Gregory Burcheri of Chicago. A Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, December 19, 2019 of First Presbyterian Church in Lonoke. Burial will be in Brownsville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Anne's memory to the Wade Knox Children's Advocacy Center or Family Resource Center in Lonoke. Arrangements by Boyd Funeral Home, Lonoke.
