Robert Allen "Shag" Treadway, 75, of Des Arc died Thursday December 5, 2019 at his home. He was born January 4, 1944 in DeValls Bluff, Arkansas to Edward and Violet (Rogers) Treadway. Survivors his wife, Lillie Katherine (Austin) Treadway, sisters, Betty Miller of Citrus Heights, Calif., Ruby Tinker of Des Arc, several nieces and nephews. Shag was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, and two sisters. Shag was a veteran of the U. S. Navy and a wholesale minnow dealer. Memorial service was 5-7 p.m.Saturday, December 14, 2019 at Garth Funeral Home Chapel. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St Jude Children's Hospital or Searcy Hospice Home Care. Cremation services are entrusted to Garth Funeral Home.
