Ardell Glover passed from this life and into her long awaited Eternal Heavenly home on Thursday, December 19, 2019. She was born to Willie Lee and Maggie Mae Cook on March 20, 1928, in Mt. Vernon, AR. She was predeceased by her parents, and her husband of 36 years, Paschal O. "Pack" Glover; three brothers, Jessie Lee Cook, Leslie Cook, and Willie Joe Cook, and four sisters, Mae Nolen, Reba Glover, Nell Cook, and LaValle Hutchison. She and Pack had no children of their own, but they had a host of nieces and nephews who loved them dearly. She was predeceased by three nephews, Bobby Glover, Alton McMillan, and Randy Hutchison; two nieces, Juanita Ballard and Frances McMillan. She is survived by one nephew, Dr. Eugene McMillan and seven nieces, JoAnn Jones, Shirley Hickman, Carolyn Hirby, Becky Robnett, Connie Breeding, Sandy Hutchison and LeeAnn Cook, and many beloved great nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by a long-time friend, Lamar Bridges. At the age of 17, Ardell left the family farm in El Paso on a bus, traveling to Little Rock, Arkansas to begin work as a telephone operator for Southwestern Bell. She later worked in two other departments, Traffic, and Directory until her retirement in the early 80's. Soon after moving to Little Rock, she met and married the love of her life, Pack. They enjoyed a full life, water skiing, golf, photography and travel until his death. She and Pack were faithful members of Geyer Springs First Baptist Church. A visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. with funeral services beginning at 10 a.m. Saturday, December 21, 2019 at Roller Chenal funeral home, 13801 Chenal Parkway, Little Rock, Ark. (501) 224-8300 with Reverend Ted Stanton officiating. Burial will be private at Pinecrest Memorial Park at a later date.
