Lorene C. Lejeune

Lorene Lejeune, 94, of Fayetteville, Ark., passed away Friday, Feb. 1, 2019, in Fayetteville. She was born March 28, 1924, in Drake's Creek, Ark., to Willis Ezra Counts and Minnie Viola (Logue) Counts. She was a retired accountant and was instrumental in saving the old post office on the square from demolition. Her great passion was reaching Northwest Arkansas, America, and the world for the gospel. She is survived by her husband of seventy-five years, Jack Lejeune; a niece, Judy Looper and husband Jim of Fayetteville, Ark.; and one nephew, Randy Counts and wife Diane of Drake Town, Ark. Visitation will be held on Monday, Feb. 4 from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. at Nelson-Berna Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 5 at 10 a.m. in the Chapel of Cross Church in Springdale with Pastor Charlie Foster officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Memorial Gardens in Fayetteville. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Butterfield Trail Village Foundation.
