Odis Lee Fought

Odis Lee Fought, 93, of Benton, passed away peacefully February 6, 2019. He was born August 17, 1925 in Plummerville to James and Viola Parker Fought. He was a World War II Veteran in the Navy and served on the USS Gendreau in the Pacific Theater. He owned and operated a service station in downtown Little Rock for much of his adult life. "Shorty" enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, and flying. He was a member of Mount Carmel United Methodist Church. Odis is preceded in death by his wife, Georgia Faye Smith Fought; a brother, Floyd Fought; and two sisters, Ruby Blackwood and Lorene Welter. He is survived by his sons, Terry Fought and his wife, Paula, and Kenny Fought; one daughter, Georgetta Botten; a sister, Dorothy Nelson; six grandchildren, Taylor, Mason, Laura, John, April, Lindsay; two great-grandchildren, and one great-grandchild, and many other extended family members and friends. His presence will be missed but his memory and legacy will be cherished and continued on through those that loved him. A Funeral Service will be Friday, February 8, 2019 at 2 p.m. at Roller-Alcoa Funeral Home 6700 Alcoa Road, with visitation beginning an hour prior at 1 p.m. Burial will be private in Pinecrest Memorial Park in Alexander.
