James "Curtis" Mitchell, 71, of Bentonville, died Friday, February 8, 2019. He was born January 18, 1948 in Tulia, Texas to O.W. "Slim" and Bonnie (James) Mitchell. Curtis served in the Army during the Vietnam War. He enjoyed woodworking and mechanic work, especially on hotrod trucks. Curtis was a great story teller. He farmed in his earlier days and was a forklift driver with Walmart for many years. He is survived by his wife, Linda (Crouse) Mitchell, whom he married January 6, 1969 in Bentonville; two daughters, Heather Rigsbee and husband Steve of Rogers, Jamie Robertson and husband Adam of Bentonville; sister, Brenda Webb of Decatur; eight grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Don Mitchell, and a sister, Saundra Pruitt. A family service will be held at a later date.
