Gasper Phillip Duffey, 76, joined his Lord and Savior February 11, 2019, in Bentonville, Ark., surrounded by family. Phillip was born on May 2, 1942, in Monroe, La., the son of Felte and Sophia Duffey. He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Jeanine Duffey; his children, John Duffey of Washington, Mo., David and wife Jennifer Duffey of Celina, Texas, Rob and wife Jacque Pitts of Kimberling City, Mo., and Leslie and husband Michael Paladino of Bentonville, Ark.; his grandchildren, Gabby and Peter Paladino and Mary Ammon and Bethany Duffey; his siblings, James and wife Wilma Duffey of Monroe, La., Roy and wife Kathy Duffey of Farmerville, La., and Rita and husband Billy Burns of Adamsville, Tenn.; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and many friends whom he loved like family. Phillip is preceded in death by his parents, Felte and Sophia Duffey; brothers, Adolph, T.A., Robert, Felix, Benny and J.C. Duffey; and his sister, Dorothy "Dottie" Standard. Phillip led a full life with varied careers. He was an iron worker for 18 years and lived in St. Clair, Mo. He later sold furniture for Frankel Furniture Company while living in Fort Smith and Berryville, Ark. Phillip ended his career selling concrete plants and components for Belgrade Steel Tank and living in Berryville, Ark. He had a deep faith in God and was obedient to share that faith with others. He was a hard worker and self-starter who loved learning new things. He loved people and made friends easily wherever he went. He loved sunny days and being outside, spending time with family and friends, and helping others in any way he could. He always saw the best in others. A service to honor and celebrate the life of Phillip will be held on March 11, 2019, at 2 p.m. at Freeman Heights Baptist Church in Berryville, Ark. Memorial donations may be made to Freeman Heights Baptist Church in Berryville, Ark., or Good Shepherd Humane Society in Eureka Springs, Ark.
