Polly Bell Ables Brown, 90, of Redfield died peacefully under Hospice Home Care in Little Rock on Friday, February 15, 2019. She was born October 6, 1928 in Atwood, Alabama. Polly was a daughter of the late George E. Ables and Celia E. Murphey Ables. Polly was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother. She was a believer in Jesus Christ and loved our Lord and Savior. She was a member of Redfield River Road Church of God. Quilting was a favorite hobby of hers. She has made numerous quilts for family and friends. She loved being outdoors. Her favorite thing above all else was spending time with her family. In addition to her parents, Polly was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil James Edward Brown; daughters, Joyce Ann Brown and Shirley Ann Wilson; brothers, Delmar Ables, Elmer Ables, LeRoy Ables, Travis Ables, Billy Ables; sisters, Lucille Stanley, Judy Puttman; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Polly is survived by her children, James H. Brown (Janice) of Little Rock, Lena Bell Rhoads (Lewis) of Redfield, Roy E. Brown (Shirley) of Little Rock, Cecil Junior Brown (Sandy) of Mt. Vernon, Jimmy Dean Brown (Teresa) of Mt. Vernon and Cecilia Fay Brown of Redfield; one sister, Doretha Tuberville; 22 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Thursday, February 21, 2019 at Robinson Fuller White Hall Funeral Chapel. Services will be 11 a.m. Friday, February 22, 2019 at Robinson Fuller White Hall Funeral Chapel with Reverend Jackie Jones and Reverend John Threat officiating.
