Danny Ray Hunter, 71, of Jacksonville passed from this life on Saturday, February 23, 2019. He was born Saturday, May 24, 1947 in Evanston, Wyoming to the late Herman Richard and Alice Bernice Holmes Hunter. Mr. Hunter proudly and faithfully served his county for 26 years in the United States Air Force. He enjoyed restoring automobiles and playing darts. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a daughter, Nikila Jayne Hunter; siblings, Timothy Bagnell, Bradley Spencer and Terry Spencer. Survivors include his wife, Elisabeth Hunter; children, Danny Rogich of Vancouver, Washington, Jody Lynn (Rob) Conkle of Port Orchard, Washington, Jamie Lee (Anthony) Roles of Eagle River, Alaska and Lisa Danielle (William) Naylor of Mayflower. Other survivors include siblings, Pamela Jean (Mark) Burmeister of Kellogg, Idaho, Cindy Diane Spencer-Friend of Oakland, Maryland; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and a host of extended family and friends. Funeral services will be 1 p.m., Friday, March 1, 2019 at Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home. The family would like to invite all who are able to join them after the service for a celebration of Danny's life at VFW Post 4548 in Jacksonville.
