Rose Marie Lipe

Rose Marie Lipe, 78, of Conway, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 29, 2018. She was born September 4, 1940 in Stuttgart to the late Stephen Frank and Marie Leona (Dierks) Dobrovich. The oldest of four children, Rose Marie grew up on the family farm in Slovak. She attended boarding school at Mount St. Mary Academy in Little Rock and graduated from Stuttgart High School. Rose Marie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt. She was a dedicated homemaker who was loyal and devoted to her family and friends. She enjoyed camping and boating with her family at many Arkansas state parks and recreation areas, especially at Mountain Harbor on Lake Ouachita. Rose Marie cherished her many visits to Disney World with her daughter, sister, and grandchildren and her trips to Paris, France. She retired after 23 years from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Martha Teppen. Loving survivors include her former husband of 54 years and the father of her children, Joel Thomas Lipe of Maumelle; three children, James (Mary) Lipe of Carmel, Ind., Carol (Mike) Angel of Conway, and Steve (Sandra) Lipe of Little Rock; two brothers, Frank (Linda Kay) Dobrovich and George Dobrovich, both of Stuttgart; and her adored six grandchildren, Mitchell and Ryan Lipe; Halley and Mollie Angel; and Jordan and Alex Lipe. Visitation will be Tuesday, January 1, 2019 from 5–7 p.m. with Rosary beginning at 7 p.m. at Roller McNutt Funeral Home in Conway. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, January 2, 2019 at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Park in Alexander.
