James Elmer Farley

James Elmer Farley, 91, of Siloam Springs, Arkansas died January 1, 2019 at Siloam Springs Regional Hospital. Born September 13, 1927 in Weddington, Arkansas, he was the son of James Alton Farley and Hazel M. McClain Farley. James married Ruth Agnew on June 16, 1948 and he worked for the U.S. Postal service. He served our country in the Navy during World War II and the Army during Korea. James was a member of the VFW, American Legion, Benton County Democrats, Northwest Arkansas Senior Democrats and was of the Methodist faith. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, one brother and one sister. Survivors include his children, Diana Greenberg and husband Paul of Long Beach, California, Jim Farley and wife Jeanne of Carthage, Missouri, Tom Farley of Siloam Springs, Arkansas and Steve Farley and wife Donna Siloam Springs, Arkansas; grandchildren Jamie Montes de Orca of Pasadena, California, George Greenberg of Hollywood, California and Ashley Long of Springdale, Arkansas; great grandchildren Shannon Long, Milo Skewes, Paul Montes de Orca and Oliver Greenberg; sister, Gwen Horton of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Saturday, January 5, 2019, at Wasson Memorial Chapel, Siloam Springs, Arkansas. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery, Siloam Springs, Arkansas.
