Thomas Elmer Gaines

Thomas E. Gaines died on the 12th of December with family and friends by his side. Tom was born to the late Elmer and Virginia Gaines in Miami, Okla., on Sept. 17, 1940. He moved to Los Angeles in the early sixties, where he had a successful career in the antique business. In 2016, he moved to Rogers to be closer to his sister Martha Dowell, his brother James Gaines and their children and to get away from the traffic and craziness of Los Angeles. Tom had a wonderful life and always had fun, whether he was traveling, talking to his friends or mowing the lawn at his house in Rogers. Tom's kindness, generosity, sense of humor and quick wit endeared him to almost everyone he met, and his demise has left a void in our lives that will be impossible to fill. He is survived by his partner of many years and by his brother, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.
