Else B. Gillan

Else B. Gillan, 86, of Cabot passed from this life on January 7, 2019. She was born January 31, 1932 in Hadamar, Germany to the late Ewald and Anna Woolf Brandes. She was a member of St. Jude the Apostle Catholic Church in Jacksonville. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Vincent Gillan; siblings, Heini, Hans, Josef, Hermand and Adolf Brandes, Anni Tenwollde and Helene Suda. Survivors include her children, Peter (Jutta) Brandes, Jurgen (Margit) Brandes, and Rosi Brandes all of Germany. Other survivors include sister, Frieda (Troy) Silence of Sherwood; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, along with a host of extended family and friends. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m., Friday, January 11, 2019 at St. Jude Catholic Church in Jacksonville. Interment will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Cabot.
