W. Dean Caddy Atchley left this life, bound for heaven on January 14, 2019. She was born in Dallas County, Arkansas on September 2, 1931. She is survived by her husband of 35 years, Jimmie Atchley; her daughters Rosalind White and husband Terry of Fayetteville; Julie Mullenix and husband Ted of Hot Springs; Karen Atchley of Little Rock, Nancy Lamons of Costa Mesa, California; and Debbie Lucien of Haiti; her beloved grandchildren, Katie White Fajardo and husband P.J. of Huntington, West Virginia; Austin Grinder and wife Lauren of Little Rock, Peter Lamons, Christy Fjellman and husband Joshua, Becca Lamons, Hannah Lamons, Mary Lamons and Daniel Lamons, her brother-in-law Jack Brown, her loving caregiver Isidora Antunez; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Sims and Irene Caddy; her brothers, Alfred Caddy; Frank Caddy and wife Addie; Weldon (Bill) Caddy and wife, Rhea; Charles (Cooper) Caddy and wife, Dorothy; her sisters, Catherine (Cat) Dugan and husband Pat; Rosa Mae Rinauro, and Jean Brown. She was the youngest of the eight children and all her life she fondly remembered the wonderful life she had growing up in the country and on the farm of her parents with all her brothers and sisters. Her parents taught her to love and honor God and to love and encourage people. She did both so well. She was a dedicated mother, daughter and wife who gave loving her family all the energy she had. She and Jim lived by their own motto: Trust in the Lord and live life to the fullest. Dean was retired from the Hot Springs Rehabilitation Center where she worked for 31 years and made many lifetime friendships. She and her husband Jim were members at First Baptist Church, Arkadelphia. The Funeral Service will be Thursday, January 17 at 10 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Arkadelphia. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 16 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Welch Funeral Home in Arkadelphia. Burial will follow at Tulip Cemetery at 1:30 p.m. in Tulip, Arkansas. Pallbearers are Terry Whie, Ted Mullenix, Austin Grinder, Jack Brown, Johan Antunez and Jim Stevens. Final arrangements are entrusted to The Welch Funeral Home of Arkadelphia.
